Inside One of the Leading Catholic High Schools in Texas
Since 1906, St. Agnes Academy has been serving the Houston, Texas community by offering a safe and supportive college preparatory school environment within which students can explore and deepen their walks with God.
Our Dominican roots extend into everything we do, from academic planning to extracurricular programming. We pride ourselves on providing a wide variety of spiritually nourishing experiences to students from all faith backgrounds.
Our commitment to providing an inclusive, faith-centered learning environment for young women in high school is readily apparent in the following ways.
1. Curriculum Offerings
St. Agnes Academy, like other private Catholic schools, incorporates faith and theology into its
core curriculum offerings. Students’ theological coursework is intended to strengthen their understanding of the key principles of
Catholic Social Teaching and our faith tenets are woven seamlessly into other components of students’ daily academic lives.
2. Liturgical Worship
St. Agnes Academy holds campus-wide Mass every Thursday morning. All students are welcome to join in worship at this time, and the priest is available for confession immediately before and after Mass.
We also observe all holy days of obligation and feasts that celebrate our Dominican heritage in dynamic, school-wide celebrations. These observances provide our Academy Women with ample opportunities for community-building and strengthen our
campus culture.
3. Extracurriculars
Students wishing to dig deeper into their faith or serve their classmates in spiritual leadership can choose from a variety of additional spiritual activities.
Our Campus Ministry and Dominican Preaching Teams are student-centered organizations that encourage their participants to minister within their communities and beyond. St. Agnes also offers many prayer retreats and mission opportunities for students who have a heart for service or wish to connect more deeply to their Catholic faith.
Discover An Inclusive, Faith-Based Community

We believe a Catholic education has the potential to prepare students for more successful, fulfilling, and joyous lives. Our spiritually supportive academic community contributes to more positive student outcomes overall.
In our rapidly changing world, Catholic high schools in Texas, such as St. Agnes, provide students with safe and supportive learning environments where faith is nurtured, values are upheld, and students are empowered to face the world with confidence and compassion.
