Spectrum FRC #3847, the Strake Jesuit and St. Agnes Engineering Team, won The Remix tournament on October 22, 2016 in the Woodlands. Spectrum #3847 was in an alliance with Cinco Ranch High School and Nolan Catholic from Ft. Worth. Spectrum 3847 went 5-2 in qualifications and were the #2 seed leading into the playoffs. They went on to finish with an overall record of 11-3 and took home the championship trophy.
27 FIRST teams from all over Houston Greater Area gathered in the Woodlands to participate in the 5th annual Robot Remix.
“This was an exciting tournament for Spectrum 3847. Our new team members had a fantastic opportunity to experience an off season FIRST robotics tournament, solve problems, meet FIRST robotic teams, gain new skills, and have fun. This experience will prepare them for the upcoming robotics season. The students see first-hand how their hard work in the robotics lab and classroom prepares them for the tournament,” said Allen Gregory Spectrum 3847 engineering coach.
Spectrum FRC #3847 is made up of high school students from St. Agnes Academy and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory—two Catholic college preparatory schools in southwest Houston, Texas.
